Getting Started

This guide will walk you through the basics of creating an account, setting up your first project, and creating your first drawing.

Create an Account

To get started with GearConnect, you’ll need to create an account. You can sign up for a free account on the GearConnect app and then follow the steps below.

1. Click on Need an account? under the Login button.
   1. (Optional): If you have a Google account, you can sign up with it for a quicker process and skip to step 5.
2. Enter your first and last name, along with your email address and a password.
3. Click on Register.
4. Check your email for a verification link and click on it to verify your account.
5. You can now log in with your email and password or with your Google account.
6. When you first sign in, you will be required to accept the Terms and Conditions before proceeding.

Once you’ve signed up, you will be taken to the Projects page.

Create a Project

Now let’s create your first project. Projects are where all your drawing and report data will be stored. You can create multiple projects, export and share them, and track changes over time.

To create a project:

1. Click on the New button in the top left corner.
2. Enter a name for your project and click OK.

You will then be taken to your project automatically, where you can start creating your first drawing.
