Pro Features
GearConnect is free for everyone to use, as it’s important to us to offer an accessible platform for our industry, as that desire is exactly why we build this app in the first place. However, we do offer a Pro subscription that unlocks additional features and functionality. Features that require a Pro subscription are marked with a (Pro feature) label.
Pro features include:
- Custom User Library
- Full Edit Mode in drawings and reports
- Importing of GearConnect files
- Additional export options (SVG, Excel)
- Automatic version history (up to 100)
- Priority support
Custom User Library
Allows you to create and save custom library items. You can copy items from the default library, customize them, and save them to use across all your projects. Learn more here.
Full Edit Mode
Some gear have Multi-Mode options on their ports, for example if a BNC port supports both SDI in and out, you may be given an option to select which mode you want to use. This functionality is limited to the library item definition however, but with Full Edit Mode you can change all the port options to anything available in the system, independent of the library item definition. Importing of GearConnect Files
All users can export their projects to a GearConnect file, but only Pro users can import them. This allows you to share your projects with other Pro users, back them up, or even use them as a template for new projects. Learn more here.
Additional Export Options
Pro users can export their drawings to SVG format, and their reports to Excel format. This allows you to have more control over how you use your data outside of GearConnect.
Automatic Version History
Pro users have access to their project’s version history, which will automatically save up to 100 versions of your project. This allows you to restore to a previous version if you make a mistake, or just want to see how your project has evolved over time. Learn more here.
Priority Support
Pro users have access to priority support, which means your questions and issues will be addressed first. This is a great way to get help quickly if you’re stuck on something, or just have a question about how to use GearConnect.
